Done in some fit of um... I don't know, really. Hope you like it! Took about 15 minutes for the rough sketch, another 15 for the clean outlines, and about 45 minutes for the lead wasting. 1 hour and 15 minutes, not bad.
Hello! This is beautiful. I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo in May for my birthday (I'm giving myself lots of time to be sure - it'll be my first tattoo). I'd love to get the crane on the right done. I see you've given permission to others - is it alright with you if I use your design? If I get it done I'll be sure to send you a picture. Thank you so much!
Hey Ananova. I'm keen to add something to this on my leg and eventually end up with a whole leg piece. I was thinking a sunset/rise in the background but something epic that just keep growing and growing. Any ideas?
Sounds good, you could look at traditional Japanese landscape art (Google it) - might suit the cranes very well and it is something that could just grow and grow with the tattoo. Say, like you have the cranes in the foreground, then you add some immediate background, like trees, and river, and then extend that to mountains in the distance, clouds, the sun, etc. I think it could work
Sure, you can use it as a tattoo. No-one's ever gone through with it (that I know of, anyway, since no-one's told me anything). Go ahead! If you get it done, take a pic and show me, aight? I'd love to see it on skin.
I'm open for requests now, but I will take a while with them because I'm working on another one right now and... I'm a slow worker. I'm in boarding school, too, and my days are very hectic and I rarely have time for myself, so I'll only take requests if the... requester(?) doesn't mind waiting a while. I don't like rushing things. I'm all ears, though.
This is really gorgeous... I have been trying and trying to come up for ideas for a stylized tattoo I want to get of a stork, and this is SO close to what I had in mind! Would it be ok if I took this to a tattoo artist just to give them an idea of what I have in mind? The design would be a perfect and beautiful tattoo just as it is, but I'll probably have them do something a little different.
This is awe inspiring.....since I am a great admirer of the Great Blue Heron (close enough). I was hoping at some point I would find a tribal design depicting the same, (or reasonable facsimile), and you nailed it here.
I prefer the crane, it looks simpler and...I like simple stuff > Plus, I love the way you designed the wings and did the feathers. The peacock one seems easier to me because in the first place, peacocks are showy, cranes aren't so much that way.
I really love this design, I have been looking for a tattoo design for years. I found a few that I like and was sure about but then I would second guess the design, and if you must second guess it, it probably shouldn't go on your skin. I would like your permission to get this one done, provided I come up with a place to put it.
